Rwanda Expedition 2013

On 11th June 2013 9 pupils and 6 staff from Cedars School, 30 iPads, 15 suitcases of resources, and equipment to network 2 schools and a charity centre will travel to Rwamagana in eastern Rwanda for a 14 day voluntary service trip. Pupils will work with a charity called “Aid for Education” on a range of different projects in the local community as well as training staff, teachers and students on how to use the iPad and the internet for educational and administrative functions.

Nsinda School

This morning the other group of us went to Nsinda School near Rwamagana, a school which has around 900 pupils from nursery to secondary 3. We had an excellent training session with 12 of the teachers on the iPads with lots of demos from the pupils of Lesley's instructions. Everyone was very keen and we're looking forward to going back this afternoon to work with the pupils :-)
