Genocide memorial

We visited the Genocide Memorial Museum in Kigali this morning.

There were two specially commissioned stained glass windows in the museum:







This was the garden area around the site where trees were planted in memory of those who died:




There were 250,000 people buried in 14 mass graves in the museum grounds:




The museum was very well presented and the whole experience was very thought provoking. Everyone in the group was very moved.
