Resources!
We began sorting through some of the resources we are hoping to take out with us to Rwanda. People have been very generous and there is an amazing selection of clothes and shoes for all ages - it is fantastic!
We also have some games and toys but are hoping to get some more things like footballs (deflated), outdoor games, skipping ropes, bubbles, stickers, art and craft materials, office supplies, etc.
(the photo was from the beginning of the sort out... it is a bit more organised now!)

A fantastic total
Ruaraidh
Many thanks to Ruaraidh in S1 who completed his own sponsored walk and kayak during the holidays in order to collect the money he had raised for Rwanda (he was ill on the day of the walk and unable to do it with everyone else). Thanks for your dedication!

Rwandan Feast!
We were very happy today to be able to sample some traditional Rwandan cuisine before we journey out in June. Many thanks to Sarah and Douglas Kakooza who cooked a variety of tasty dishes for the trip participants to enjoy.
Waiting for the food to arrive...
Sweet potato, fried green banana, peanut sauce, been casserole...

Ailie and Euan
Ailie and Euan MacDougall and their family and friends held a very successful soup and sandwich lunch at the Old Gourock and Ashton Church on Sunday in order to raise funds for the trip. Sarah and Douglas Kakooza also gave a presentation about the work of Aid for Education as well as some information about our upcoming itinerary. It was a very enjoyable morning - thank you to all who organised and supported it.
The total raised is currently at £750 but there is still more to go...
There were 5 varieties of soup on offer - yum!
There was also the opportunity to buy some delicious home baking:

T-shirts
We are very pleased with out trip T-shirts which include the logos of the companies who have sponsored the trip. We wore them for the first time whilst bag packing at Tesco and they looked great!
Bag Packing
We had a very successful afternoon bag packing at Tesco in Greenock - we raised £500 in total! Thanks very much to the staff and customers at Tesco for their support.

WWII Concert
Last night was our World War 2 night at Funworld. The staff of Funworld generously donated the premises for the night to help towards our forthcoming charity trip to Rwanda. Our evening consisted of a concert of songs and drama from the 1940s and then a chance to take advantage of the soft play and Laser Quest facilities, as well as the cafe for parents.
It was a super night and raised over £500 for our Rwanda fund. Many thanks to all at Funworld and all parents for their support of the venture.
Kyle in S5 opened the evening by explaining a little about the upcoming Rwanda trip and thanking everyone for their support in helping us to make a difference:
